CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – December 6, 2024 – Visit Corpus Christi, in partnership with the Corpus Christi Downtown Management District, proudly announces the return of its signature holiday initiative, the Merry Dash Pass, available throughout the month of December. Designed to inspire community engagement and showcase the vibrant downtown area, this festive program encourages participants to explore local businesses while earning exclusive prizes. Visit Corpus Christi is also offering a Complimentary Holiday Postcard Program, providing residents and visitors with a unique way to share holiday cheer with loved ones around the globe.

"Tourism is vital to our local economy, and initiatives like the Merry Dash Pass and Holiday Postcard Program allow us to showcase the incredible businesses and unique charm of Corpus Christi during the holiday season," said Meredith Darden, Chief Operating Officer and Interim CEO of Visit Corpus Christi. "By encouraging residents and visitors to explore and share our destination, we create meaningful connections, support our local businesses outside of the traditional peak season, and highlight the power of visiting friends and relatives in making Corpus Christi a truly unforgettable place to be."

Merry Dash Pass: Discover, Engage, and Earn

The Merry Dash Pass invites participants to explore downtown Corpus Christi’s local restaurants, bars, and shops. Registration for the pass is quick and convenient via email or text. As participants visit participating locations and check in, they earn points that can be redeemed for exclusive prizes, including festive holiday stickers, ornaments, and the coveted Coastal Magic T-shirt.

Prizes are available for pickup at the Gulf Coast Capital Store, located at 309 N Water St, Suite D, Corpus Christi, TX 78401.

"We're pleased to partner with Visit Corpus Christi for the Merry Dash Pass again this holiday season," says Daniela Campos, Communications & Public Relations Coordinator of the Downtown Management District. "We hope this serves as an opportunity for the community to spend their time in downtown, make cherished memories with their loved ones, and support local businesses during the holidays."

Complimentary Holiday Postcard Program: Share the Spirit of Corpus Christi

In addition to the Merry Dash Pass, Visit Corpus Christi is offering a unique opportunity to send holiday cheer through its Holiday Postcard Program. This initiative allows participants to send beautifully designed, handwritten postcards to friends, family, and loved ones anywhere in the world—completely free of charge, including postage.

Quantities of these limited-edition postcards are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Delivery within the U.S. is estimated to take 14 business days.

"The Merry Days Holiday Events campaign is all about celebrating the heart of Corpus Christi during the holiday season,” said Emily Zertuche, Chief Marketing Officer at Visit Corpus Christi. “With the Merry Dash Pass and the Holiday Postcard Program, we’re making it easy and fun for both visitors and locals to experience the best of what our city has to offer. From exploring downtown gems to sharing a bit of Corpus Christi cheer with loved ones, these programs showcase the Gulf Coast Capital as the perfect place to make holiday memories while supporting our incredible local businesses," added Emily Zertuche, Chief Marketing Officer at Visit Corpus Christi.

Both programs are available throughout December, but participants are encouraged to act quickly as availability is limited.
