1. Third Coast Theater
Staying near Port Aransas? Consider checking the line-up at Third Coast Theater. Located inside Seashell Village Resort, this 160-seat live music venue hosts performances from some of Texas’ top singers and songwriters, including Radney Foster, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Mark McKinney, Keith Sykes and many more. Bring your own beverage to this intimate venue and enjoy an evening of entertainment!
2. Harbor Playhouse
As the oldest operating community theater in Texas, the Harbor Playhouse is one place you won’t want to miss. Established in 1925, this non-profit theater located in the Arts District adds to the rich culture of the Coastal Bend. You can catch both contemporary and classic shows performed by more than 700 volunteers annually.
3. Aurora Arts Theatre
Aurora Arts Theatre is another non-profit community theater in the Coastal Bend. Located in Southside, this 100-seat venue is committed to providing both residents and visitors quality performances that promote and encourage the work of local artists. This quaint theater also allows community members to learn, practice and share their love of the arts.
4. House of Rock
If you’re looking for a one-stop shop, the House of Rock is a bar/restaurant and live music venue. Established in downtown Corpus Christi, the venue features live music every Thursday through Saturday. If you want a more hands-on experience, come on Tuesdays for the Open Mic Night, open to musicians, comedians, poets and other performers.
5. Concrete Street Amphitheater
If outdoor festivals are more your scene, you have to experience the Concrete Street Amphitheater. Since 2001, Concrete Street has been the largest outdoor music and festival venue in Corpus Christi. This venue brings big name musicians from a variety of genres to the Coastal Bend, including past performances from Joan Jett, Bone Thugs ‘N’ Harmony, ZZ Top and Fall Out Boy, to name a few.
