Packery Channel Nature Park on North Padre Island is an ideal spot for wade fishing, offering easy access to the calm, shallow waters of the Laguna Madre. This 38-acre park features improved shoreline parking and two kayak launch areas, making it a convenient launch point for anglers on foot. Surrounded by native plantings, a protected oak motte, and scenic boardwalks, the park provides a peaceful, nature-rich setting while you cast for redfish or trout. Please note that beyond the first four miles of beach, four-wheel-drive traction is recommended at Padre Island National Seashore.
Boat Launches
Corpus Christi offers multiple convenient boat launch ramps, providing easy access to the city's stunning waterways, including the Gulf of Mexico and Corpus Christi Bay. There are private ramps, including Bluff’s Landing and Marker 37 that may require a fee, and public ramps, including Billings and Packery Channel. All ramps are suitable for multiple boat sizes and water adventures, and they range anywhere from two to multiple lanes.
