The Island

From beach days to vibrant nightlife, this one-stop destination has all the Texas-sized adventures you crave. On North Padre Island, explore the protected Padre Island National Seashore that – at nearly 70 miles long – is the longest undeveloped barrier island in the world. Go camping by the dunes all year round, and try horseback riding on the beach. This seashore also shelters Kemp’s ridley sea turtle, the tiny endangered sea turtle that conservationists have been working hard to protect. Come see for yourself the natural wonders and rich sailing history that makes this preserved destination such a unique place to explore.

Downtown

You’ll never run out of things to do in the lively Corpus Christi Bayfront and Downtown area. It’s a perfect place to position yourself with more than 1,200 hotel rooms to choose from, and a huge variety of activities that will keep you and everyone in your crew entertained all day and night. Take a walk on the seawall and McGee Beach that stretches along Corpus Christi Bay. Dedicate plenty of time to explore the waterfront Sea District (short for sports, entertainment and arts) where several cultural gems are located – including the Art Museum of South Texas and the Corpus Christi Science and History Museum. Spend a day of joyful summer fun at Hurricane Alley Waterpark, and make sure to catch a Hooks baseball game at Whataburger Field. The Marina Arts District is all about originality – from art and culture to coastal dining. Pick your favorite meal like gourmet pizza served with craft beer, authentic Tex-Mex and margaritas on a patio, and locally sourced seafood by the water. The fun continues as you make it a night to remember listening to live music that spills into the busy streets.

Southside

This bustling business district area is brimming with dining and entertainment, but your first stop will most likely be a quiet respite at the South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center. In this tranquil space, enjoy the sights and scents of roses, plumeria and a conservatory filled with orchids. The butterfly garden is a delight, and you can spot a variety of birds as you hike along the gentle Brennecke Nature Trail. While you’re out and about in Southside, go shopping in Moore Plaza and pay a visit to the weekly farmers market. A day of family fun or date night at In the Game Funtrackers is a perfect way to spend time with your loved ones.
