Behind the Credits Speaker Series Kickoff Set for May 5 in Corpus Christi

The Corpus Christi Film & Music Commission, a strategic initiative of Visit Corpus Christi, invites the public to the launch of Behind the Credits, a new speaker series celebrating the power of Texas storytelling. The kickoff event will feature an award-winning filmmaker and statewide advocacy efforts to support the film, television, and digital media industries.

Featured guests include Cristina Nava, acclaimed screenwriter, director and producer behind Say a Little Prayer, Divorce Bait, and Free Lunch, and Fred Poston, executive director of the Texas Media Production Alliance (TXMPA).

Guests will hear firsthand industry insights from Cristina Nava and learn how to advocate for Texas’s creative economy through TXMPA’s Deep in the Heart social media campaign. The event is free and open to the public, offering attendees the opportunity to celebrate Texas creativity and take action to protect local production jobs.
