3 Days in Corpus Christi for a Girls' Getaway

Grab your besties and head to Corpus Christi for a getaway that’s all about fun, food, and unforgettable memories. Whether you're brunching, shopping, beach-hopping, or catching sunset vibes on the water, this itinerary is your guide to the ultimate girls' trip on the Texas coast.

Day 1

Start your getaway with brunch at Hester's Café - Six Points. From nutrient-packed omelets and smoothies to sandwiches and salads made with wholesome ingredients, there’s plenty to choose from. After brunch, walk next door to Bleu Frog Mercantile, where you’ll find a fun mix of boutique fashion, gifts, and vintage treasures.

Spend the rest of your afternoon shopping around downtown, where locally owned spots offer everything from handmade jewelry and art to stylish clothing and home décor. After some retail therapy, take a stroll by the downtown seawall and feel the cool coastal breeze as you wander downtown, soaking in the bay views and a relaxed marine vibe. Be sure to stop at Mangonadas by MLB for an icy cool, flavorful treat to keep you cool and hydrated on your walk.

As the sun dips, make your way to The Mariner for happy hour, where you can sip handcrafted cocktails and take in stunning bayfront views at this hidden gem. Located inside Harrison’s Landing, The Mariner offers an upscale yet relaxed lounge experience in the heart of the Downtown Marina

If you happen to be in town on the first Friday of the month, stick around for ArtWalk, a lively street festival packed with art, music, food trucks, and local vibes. It’s the perfect way to kick off a girls’ weekend in style.

Day 2

Start your morning with a refreshing class at Water Dog Yoga, SUP & Barre. Whether you’re flowing on the dock or balancing on a paddleboard, it’s a peaceful way to reset and reconnect.

Next, head to Bien Mérité for an elegant brunch. From croissant sandwiches to fruit-topped pastries and espresso drinks, this French-inspired café hits the spot.

Then, it’s off to the beach. Choose a scenic stretch of Mustang Island and book a Pretty Picnics pop-up picnic. You can customize your setup with bar carts, charcuterie, picnic games, and boho décor, all perfect for the 'gram and even better for bonding. For a refreshing treat, swing by Siren’s Call Winery on your way and pick up a few of their frozen wine slushies to enjoy beachside.

Add a uniquely Texan touch with a horseback ride on the beach through Horses on the Beach, where you’ll get stunning shoreline views and a little Wild West energy. Fun fact: Mustang Island was named after the wild horses that once roamed here.  For a stylish ride on the sand, rent an electric beach cruiser from Gulf Coast Mokes and turn heads as you roll up in one of their colorful, open-air vehicles.

Ready to kick it up a notch? Book a full-day rental with Love Shack Tiki Hut. Their setup includes hammocks, lights, margaritas, and good vibes all around, basically your private island party.

Day 3

Ease into the day with brunch at Ridley’s on the Island, a chic and breezy spot that brings elevated coastal flavor to the Island brunch scene. Think crab cake bennies, pineapple upside down pancakes, fresh mimosas, and a relaxing patio that sets the tone for a carefree day with your crew.

After brunch, spend the afternoon unwinding at Padre Island National Seashore, one of the longest undeveloped stretches of barrier island in the world. Lounge on the beach, take a long walk along the shoreline, and keep an eye out for local wildlife like sea turtles, shorebirds, and dolphins. It's the perfect way to slow down, reconnect, and soak in the natural beauty of the Texas coast.

As the sun begins to set, head to Packery Bar and Grill to close out your trip. This relaxed island hangout offers live music, fire pits, and an outdoor stage perfect for dancing under the stars or kicking back with one last cocktail. With good food, great music, and an easygoing vibe, it’s a picture-perfect way to wrap up your girls' weekend.
