  • Camping Permits

    To camp at Malaquite Campground or Bird Island Basin Campground, you’ll need to fill out a camping permit and pay your camping fee at the self-registration kiosk at the entrance to the campground. For those looking to camp on North Beach, South Beach, or Yarborough Pass, a free self-issued camping permit is required, available at the kiosk at the entrance of the beach.

    Beach Parking Permits

    A beach parking permit is essential for parking your RV along the designated beaches. For the year 2024, these permits cost $12 and are valid from January 1 through December 31. You can purchase them at various locations throughout Corpus Christi or directly on the beach.

     

  • Campfires are permitted but the hole for the fire should not exceed 3 feet in depth and diameter, and when you’re finished, the fire should be properly extinguished so it doesn’t smolder for hours after the original attempt. Burn only natural wood -- pallets, lumber, and nails are not allowed. 

  • Yes, several RV parks in Corpus Christi provide beachfront access. Padre Balli Park, North Packery (JP Luby), and Mustang Island State Park offer prime locations just steps from the sand, making it easy to enjoy the Gulf Coast’s beautiful waters.

  • RV Park Amenities

    Most RV parks in Corpus Christi offer full hookups, including water, electricity, and sewage. Additional amenities often include Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, picnic areas, swimming pools, and bathhouses. Some parks may also have recreational activities, such as fishing piers, kayak rentals, and beach access.

    Mustang Island State Park

    At Mustang Island State Park you can stay at one of the 48 water and electric campsites or choose among 50 drive-up primitive sites. Water, cold-water rinse showers, and portable toilets can also be found along a two-mile stretch of the beach, and full restrooms and showers with hot water are also accessible.

    North Packery (JP Luby)

    At North Packery (JP Luby) Beach, camp with a tent and primitive supplies, or pull up to one of the electric campsites protected behind bordering sand dunes. Grills, picnic tables, and a beach bathhouse that includes full restrooms are available. 

    Padre Balli Park

    Padre Balli Park offers a spectacular camping experience with almost 100 paved campsites suitable for RVs, 12 hardtop areas for tents with electrical and water hookups, ADA-accessible amenities, a bathhouse, and more. Camping fees include the use of the shower house and WiFi access, should you need it.

     

  • Yes, each RV park's website offers an overview into their daily, weekly, and monthly pricing options, followed by an option to book online. Be sure to book in a timely manner during peak seasons like summer and holidays. 

  • Yes, Colonia del ReyGreyhound, and Padre Palms RV Parks allow pets. Please read their policies below:

    Pet Rules
    • Pets must be maintained on a leash at all times.
    • Pets are not allowed in any buildings, restrooms or pool area.
    • Pets are not to be left unattended outside of RV’s.
    • Owners must immediately clean up after pets.
    •  Pit Bulls or any mix of Pit Bulls are not allowed into the park.
