Saddle up for the longest-running pirate festival and parade in Corpus Christi! Buc Days has been around since 1938 with about 45,000 attendees each year, and keeps growing. This iconic festival brings Downtown Corpus Christi to life every spring with a thrilling blend of rodeo action, concerts, carnival rides, parades, shopping, and so much more. Whether you're cheering on cowboys at the Rodeo, indulging in delicious food, or catching beads at the illuminated parade, Buc Days is a celebration of South Texas culture and Corpus Christi's vibrant spirit that you won't want to miss. Grab your boots and get ready for a festival adventure right on the Gulf Coast Capital.

    Single Day Gate Entry 

    Cost: $10.00

    Your Single Day Gate Entry ticket gets you access to the Stripes Carnival, Shops at Treasure Island, Buckin’ Marlin Stage, BBQ on the Bay, and other non-Arena attractions.

    Gate admission includes access to the Art Museum of South Texas along with the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History as part of the Buc Days STEAM Expo. Purchase General Admission tickets at the Box Offices outside of the festival grounds.

    Stripes Carnival All-You-Can-Ride Wristbands

    Cost: $30.00 (Weekday) | $40.00 (Weekend)

    You can purchase your wristband day-of upon entry to the festival. Simply purchase a Single Day Gate Entry ticket at the box office for $10 and then purchase your wristband at the Kiosk inside the gate. 

    Note: Rodeo Concert Series, Rodeo, and PBR Velocity Tour Finals Tickets are a separate purchase and are not included in general admission.

  • You will need tickets to view the Stadium Show, but the Rally Night Parade is free to attend. The Stadium Show will take place on April 26, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Buccaneer Stadium at 1 Battlin Buc Blvd. The Rally Night Parade will begin promptly at 8:00 p.m.

    Gates open at 4:00 p.m. on weekdays and at 12:00 p.m on weekends. 

  • Variety of Rodeo Events

    May 6-10 | 7 PM

    Enjoy a variety of events from the fast-paced excitement of Steer Roping and Steer Wrestling to the heart-stopping action of Bull Riding and Bareback Riding. You can also watch young cowboys and cowgirls take on Mutton Bustin', cheer on precision riders in Barrel Racing, or enjoy the teamwork of Team Roping.

    Live Music with National Recording Artists

    May 6-10 | 7 pm

    The excitement doesn’t stop when the rodeo ends! At Rodeo Corpus Christi, national recording artists take the stage right inside the American Bank Center Arena as part of the ultimate rodeo experience. Once the dust settles and the last bull bucks, the arena transforms into a live concert venue for artists such as Steve Trevino, MercyMe, Grupo SiGGno, Clint Black, and Dos Borrachos ft. Kevin Fowler and Roger Creager. 

    WCRA Division Youth Showcase

    May 6 | 7 pm

    Watch the world’s best rodeo athletes aged 13 to 19 compete in a variety of events from bareback riding to ladies barrel racing - a total of 11 thrilling junior disciplines.

    PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Finals

    May 2-3 | 7:30 pm

    Watch man vs. bull in the national PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour, where some of the world’s best riders go head-to-head with bulls born to buck, in a live-action, adrenaline-fueled fight for the big prize! This year’s event will include the PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Finals, a national competition that awards $1 million to the first-place winner in any three consecutive WCRA major rodeos.

    Get ready for some brave, bold, and adorable moments as the next generation of rodeo stars shows their grit!Young cowboys and cowgirls take center stage in this heartwarming event. Watch as kids under six years old ride sheep, holding on for six seconds of wild fun and excitement. Participants are scored on their performance and the sheep's actions, just like the pros.

    Pay $15 at any of the multiple parking lots near the American Bank Center

    Whataburger Field Shuttles

    Pay $15  to park at Whataburger Field, then hop on one of the FREE CCRTA shuttles to get dropped off at the gate!

    Bag Policies

    American Bank Center
    • Any bags larger than a clutch bag will need to be clear.
    • Bags no larger than 12″x12″x6″ will be permitted inside American Bank Center.
    • Small clutch bags or purses do not have to be clear but cannot exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″.
    • We do allow each member of the party to bring in a large clear Ziploc bag, including children, of their belongings.
    • Guests will be asked to return any bags that do not meet these requirements to their vehicles.
    • All bags will also be searched for prohibited items at entry before walking through the metal detectors.
    Stripes Carnival 
    • Bag checks will be conducted at all public gates during public operating hours.
    • Bags, briefcases, strollers & backpacks are subject to search and seizure.

    Restricted Items

    • Alcohol, drugs, illegal substances or any paraphernalia associated with drug use
    • Audio/video recorders, professional cameras, tripods
    • Selfie sticks
    • Cans, bottles, coolers or other similar containers
    • Fireworks
    • Flags/signs with poles
    • iPads/tablets of any size
    • Laser pens/pointers of any type
    • Noisemakers such as air horns
    • Outside food or drinks
    • Oversized bags, backpacks, duffel bags or diaper bags
    • Pepper spray/mace
    • Weapons of any type, including chains, knives, firearms and spiked jewelry
    • Any other item deemed unacceptable by event/building management
  • Service animals are allowed. 

    • Service animals are defined as dogs (or miniature horses when reasonable) that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for persons with disabilities.
    • Such animals are welcome in areas where the public is normally allowed to go.

    Under the ADA, service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices. In that case, the individual must maintain control through voice, signal, or other effective controls.
