The South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center is about 20 minutes away, making it easy to explore on the same trip. Most attractions are within a short drive of one another. The Texas State Aquarium and USS Lexington Museum are neighbors on North Beach, just across the Harbor Bridge (U.S. Highway 181) from downtown. To reach the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History, simply cross the bridge heading south. The museum sits near the base along Shoreline Boulevard and Chaparral Street, close to the Art Museum of South Texas. Continue along Shoreline to visit the Art Center of Corpus Christi, where you’ll find local art galleries and a waterfront view. From there, the South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center is about a 20-minute drive via State Highway 286 (Crosstown Expressway) and South Staples Street, offering a scenic route through the heart of Corpus Christi.
