Padre Island National Seashore
Padre Island National Seashore separates the Gulf of Mexico from the Laguna Madre, one of a few hypersaline lagoons in the world. The Park protects 70 miles of coastline, dunes, prairies, and wind tidal flats teeming with life. It is a safe nesting ground for the Kemp’s ridley sea turtle and a haven for over 380 bird species. Pets are welcome almost everywhere in the park and must remain on a leash. Leashed pets are permitted in all camping areas and on over 60 miles of beach in the park, including all areas where you can drive on the beach. This is all to ensure the safety of the sea turtles.
The beautiful beaches of Padre Island are a fantastic place to bring your furry friends for a day out in the sun or an overnight adventure. Although the beaches close at dusk, overnight camping is allowed in certain areas. It’s located at 20420 Park Road 22, Corpus Christi TX 78418
