CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – April 4, 2024 – The Corpus Christi Film and Music Commission, a strategic initiative of Visit Corpus Christi is announcing a call for artists, bands, and musical performances for the upcoming Water's Edge Summer Series, "See You on the Seawall." The summer-long event is a collaborative effort with the City of Corpus Christi’s Parks and Recreation department, inviting musical talents from all genres to submit their performance for consideration.
“The Water's Edge Summer Series presents a one-of-a-kind platform for local musicians to exhibit their talents amidst the picturesque backdrop of our bayfront, providing entertainment for residents and visitors on Saturday evenings. Accompanied by music, food trucks, and the beach as a scenic backdrop, our City is highlighted as a vibrant destination,” said Robert Dodd, Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Director.
Every Saturday from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend, the See You On The Seawall series will not only serve to enhance the seawall experience through music, but will also be a means of supporting outdoor activations through the showcasing of additional local vendors. The free programming will take place at Water's Edge Park, Mirador 6, and Mirador 7.
“See You on the Seawall is more than programming—it's a celebration of Corpus Christi's local music scene. Providing a platform for our talented artists against an iconic backdrop, we're enhancing both visitor experiences and community pride,” commented Emily Zertuche, interim Music Commissioner and Chief Marketing Officer for Visit Corpus Christi, “This initiative not only showcases our cultural vibe but also creates a sense of community, providing our visitors a front row view to why we really are the Gulf Coast Capital. I’m excited to see this come to fruition and how it will leave a lasting impression on all who experience it.”
