WHAT: Join Visit Corpus Christi and the Corpus Christi Hooks for a game to remember at Whataburger Field celebrating Gulf Coast Capital Night on July 9, 2021, at 7 p.m. This special event will bring the community together to celebrate our incredible city, Corpus Christi. Guests will not only enjoy the game, but they will hear from Visit Corpus Christi President and CEO Brett Oetting and Corpus Christi Mayor Paulette Guajardo and watch them throw out the first pitch! 

Guests will learn more about Visit Corpus Christi’s new “Coast Like a Texan” campaign, which is an initiative to educate the community and visitors alike about Corpus Christi and to create excitement about the Gulf Coast Capital. The first 500 fans through the gates will receive a free custom jersey to officially “Coast Like a Texan.” The community can continue to support this initiative by using #CCMe on social media to show their pride around Corpus Christi. 

In addition, one dollar from every game ticket purchased through Visit Corpus Christi’s FEVO link will benefit the Visit Corpus Christi Cares Program, which provides emergency funding to those employed in the hospitality, tourism or service industries in Corpus Christi who are faced with unforeseen expenses that cannot or will not be covered by insurance.
