CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS – December 1, 2022 – Visit Corpus Christi, the official Destination Marketing Organization for the City of Corpus Christi, has won two more international marketing awards. The 2022 HSMAI Adrian Awards had over 600 entries from major global brands and agencies and were judged by senior industry leaders and media experts. Corpus Christi was extended the Gold award for the “Coast Like a Texan Video Campaign” and the Silver award for “Positioning Corpus Christi as the Gulf Coast Capital.” Both recognitions for the organization are a sign of destination marketing excellence on the national and international levels. This is the third international marketing award this year for the organization that was also named the 2022 Texas Association of Convention and Visitor’s Bureau’s organization of the year. 

“These awards are continuing to be won because of our creative campaign successes,” said Brett Oetting, President and CEO of Visit Corpus Christi. “The campaigns are successful because the experience that Corpus Christi offers visitors is one that resonates with everyone. When people hear what the Gulf Coast Capital has to offer, they want to be here.” 

Both awards highlight the organization’s efforts in showcasing the Gulf Coast Capital brand through vibrant, bold, and innovative media and marketing efforts that not only attract visitors but also highlight the local flavor that residents know and love. In doing so, Visit Corpus Christi has continued to win multiple awards on the regional, national, and now international level making the Corpus Christi name known as a leading industry organization.

The HSMAI Adrian awards, now in its 65th year, recognize hospitality brands and agencies for creativity and innovation in advertising, digital, public relations/communications, and integrated Campaigns. The HSMAI Adrian Awards embraces every segment of the industry including Destination Marketing Organizations. Corpus Christi as a Gold Award honoree will have the opportunity to be judged by a secondary panel of industry experts for a chance to win the highest award designation – the Platinum Award at the annual Adrian Award Celebration taking place in February 2023 in Los Angeles, California.
