Meet Jaclyn Blohm

Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Jaclyn Blohm has always felt a deep connection to her hometown, a place where neighbors know each other, sunsets glow across the bay, and the community spirit runs strong. After graduating from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, she began her career in radio, working with local stations to promote businesses and events around town. Those early experiences in media and community engagement laid the foundation for what would later become her path as an influencer. Eager to grow her career, Jaclyn eventually moved to Houston to gain experience in marketing and communications. The city was fast-paced and full of opportunity, but something about it never quite felt like home.
"I missed the community. I’d come back two weekends out of the month and wouldn’t want to leave. I missed the beaches, but also seeing familiar faces. You don’t get that in a big city.”
That longing to return to Corpus Christi was more than nostalgia. It was a reminder of where she truly belonged. Back home, Jaclyn found herself reconnecting with the local businesses she had once promoted, and this time, she did it through her own creative lens. What began as casual posts on social media soon became something bigger. People were drawn to her authenticity, and local brands took notice. Her content evolved naturally into a mix of beach adventures, new restaurants, and community events, all highlighting the laid-back, coastal lifestyle she loves.
"There’s no way I could focus on just one thing. I want to do everything and share it all. I get to share information that helps residents while also shining a light on the positive side of Corpus.”
Today, Jaclyn balances her influencer work with her role as a Communications Specialist for the City of Corpus Christi, a position that perfectly complements her passion for connecting people to their community. Her days are spent helping residents stay informed, while her evenings and weekends often find her exploring local gems and spotlighting what makes Corpus so special.
Her favorite part of being an influencer?
"The impact. When someone messages me saying they tried something I posted about and it improved their life, that’s amazing. It’s such a good reminder of how much positivity you can spread online.”
Jaclyn’s story is one of coming full circle, from learning her craft in local media to sharing her love for Corpus Christi with the world. She encourages others to get involved and experience the city for themselves. Whether it’s attending meetups, supporting local businesses, or trying something new, Jaclyn believes there’s always more to discover in Corpus Christi if you take the time to look.
