The Texas Food Championship is Texas’ official qualifying event for the World Food Championships, bringing chefs and culinary competitors together in Corpus Christi for three days of competition, food, and entertainment. Competitors take the stage across 10 culinary divisions for the opportunity to earn a coveted Golden Ticket and represent Team Texas at the World Food Championships. Beyond the competition, the event supports the future of Texas’ culinary industry through Texas Table of Hope, which helps provide scholarship opportunities for aspiring young chefs.

The 2026 Texas Food Championship takes place September 25–27, 2026, at Water’s Edge Park along the Corpus Christi Bayfront. The waterfront location puts visitors close to Downtown Corpus Christi, local restaurants, attractions, beaches, and plenty of ways to experience the Gulf Coast Capital throughout the weekend.

Visitors can watch live culinary competitions, explore food trucks and Texas vendors, catch live music, attend chef demonstrations, and experience special programming throughout the weekend.
