About the Event

Get ready to experience the thrill of high-speed sailing on the sparkling waters of Corpus Christi Bay! The prestigious U.S. Multihull Championship returns in 2025, bringing top sailors from across the country and around the world to compete for the coveted Alter Trophy, named in honor of sailing legend Hobie Alter, Sr.

Hosted by the Corpus Christi Yacht Club, this year’s championship will be contested in the exciting Formula Wave Class boats. As a “bring your own boat” regatta, sailors will showcase their skills on personally prepared vessels, adding an extra layer of strategy and performance.

This open championship welcomes competitors of all levels, with no selection process required — only a current membership with US Sailing (or their respective National Governing Body for international sailors). Over five days, racers will battle it out on the bay, taking advantage of Corpus Christi’s reliable winds and stunning coastal views.
