Friday, June 30 

Summer Bay Jammin’ Concert and Cinema Series 

Grab some blankets, food, and snacks before heading out to Cole Park Amphitheater for a family-friendly movie night, free of charge. The annual Summer Bay Jammin’ Concert and Cinema Series is a great way to enjoy our coastal climate while hanging out with friends and family. Friday’s movie is Vivo, an animated, action-packed comedy.  

Pub Crawl Tour 

Hop on the Blue Shore Pedal Lounge for a 2-hour-long Pub Crawl Tour. Enjoy the evening scenery while the driver takes you to 3 of the hottest bars and clubs in the downtown area.  Complimentary alcoholic beverages are provided, while supplies last. Tours are available from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM and are for guests aged 21+.  

 

Saturday, July 1

Heritage Park Market Days

Start your sunny Saturday at Heritage Park with some outdoor shopping from over 100 local vendors. From 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM walk around the historic homes and browse through unique items from vendors selling handmade items, wood crafts, plants, pottery, jewelry, and more. This pet and family-friendly event will have something for everyone.

8th Annual Corpus Christi Food Truck Summerfest

Bring your appetite to the Packery Bar and Grill parking lot, located under the JFK Causeway, where you’ll find tons of food trucks serving up delicious food for everyone to enjoy. You’ll also enjoy live music, an arts and crafts alley, face painting, and a petting zoo. Kids can also get in on the fun at the Kid’s Truck Zone. The festival will run from 12:00 PM – 11:45 PM and is free of charge. You only pay for the great food.

Sunday, July 2

A Day at the Beach

Summer Surf Movie Sundays

Bring your family, friends, and dogs to the Executive Surf Club for an exclusive movie-watching event. Summer Surf Movie Sundays is a free event with complimentary popcorn and a surf-themed movie at sundown. The movie will be displayed on the Robert Earl Keen stage while you enjoy cozy seating on the patio in a laid-back atmosphere of an outdoor theater.

Yogilates

Take some time out for fitness with a Yogilates session to strengthen your entire core. From 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM, enjoy an entire body stretch while overlooking the water on the deck in the marina.

Tuesday, July 4

46th Annual Mayor’s Big Bang Celebration

Come downtown to the Corpus Christi Bayfront for a celebration filled with fireworks and festivities on the bayfront and Water’s Edge Park. Bring family and friends and enjoy food trucks along the bayfront and watch as fireworks are set off from a barge located in the Corpus Christi Bay, north of People’s Street T-Heads. Watch from the Bayfront Seawall or from the USS Lexington’s Flight Deck. Shoreline Blvd. will be closed due to traffic to ensure pedestrian safety.

Hooks Baseball Game at Whataburger Field 

Spend 4th of July at the Ballpark by the Bay as the Hooks, the Double A-Affiliate of the Houston Astros, open a six-game series against the San Antonio Missions and enjoy postgame Independence Day fireworks show. Enjoy their in-house Whataburger, Nolan Ryan’s Smokehouse, Kona Ice, and more. You can even try a Relief Pitcher, a “beer bat” filled with strawberry daiquiris or lime margaritas. Remember: bags should be clear plastic or vinyl and no larger than 16”x16” into the field.

Red, White, and Boom Fireworks Viewing Party at the USS Lexington Museum

Walk aboard the USS Lexington and learn everything about this WWII-era aircraft carrier that is now home to flight simulators, escape rooms, and an F-14 Tomcat before settling down on the Flight Deck to watch the fireworks from 7:00 PM to the conclusion of the fireworks. Chairs will be provided, and food and drinks will be available for purchase. Reservation required.

You can also swing by Mesquite Street Bar and Grill for some of the best pizza, sandwiches, and pasta made with in-house recipes.
