Boo in the Blue at the Aquarium 

October 18 & October 19 | 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Experience an underwater Halloween adventure with the annual Boo! In the Blue event at the Texas State Aquarium. This family-friendly celebration transforms the Aquarium into a spooky, sea-themed spectacle, complete with festive décor, candy stations, and interactive experiences. Enjoy fun photo ops, animal encounters, and a variety of kid-approved activities designed to make your Halloween outing both educational and unforgettable.

Trick-or-Treating on the Blue Ghost

October 24 - October 31

Kids 12 and under in costume receive free admission to the USS Lexington Museum and can trick-or-treat their way through the Hangar Deck! Enjoy a spooky stroll aboard this historic aircraft carrier filled with festive fun and sweet surprises.

Halloween with the Hooks 

October 23 | 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Ghouls and goblins prepare for the ultimate search for candy at Halloween with the Hooks this Halloween season. This free event will include trick-or-treating candy stops, carnival games, a costume contest, and a pumpkin patch “photo BOOth.” The Hooks will be accepting food donations to benefit the Coastal Bend Food Bank, and attendees are encouraged to donate canned food items upon their arrival to Whataburger Field.

The South Texas Botanical Gardens invites families to celebrate Halloween with spooky fun, festive sights, and activities for kids and adults alike. From playful mazes to haunted walks, there’s something for every kind of thrill-seeker this season.

  • Hay Maze | October 18: Built with 150 bales of hay and decorated for the season, the Hay-Maze challenges kids to find their way through twists and turns while parents watch nearby. Located in the Children’s Play Area, this family-friendly adventure is included with general admission and is a fall favorite.
  • Haunted Trail Walks | October 17 & 24 | 8:00 - 10:00 p.m.: Brave visitors can journey down the Gardens’ Haunted Trail, where eerie surprises lurk in the shadows and ghosts and witches wait around every corner. The walk ends with a hayride back to the Reptile Room for refreshments, making for a spooky evening fundraiser to benefit animal medical care. Recommended for ages 11 and up, with advance tickets available online for $20.
  • Halloween Price Treat | October 31: Kids ages 3 to 12 who arrive in costume get half-price admission—just $3—for a fun-filled Halloween at the BOO-tanical Gardens. It’s the perfect chance for families to enjoy the sights of the Gardens while celebrating in costume together.

5th Annual Halloween Party

October 25 | 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Celebrate spooky season at the Texas State Museum of Asian Cultures & Education Center with festive activities inspired by Asian cultures, offering a unique experience for the whole family. Guests can enjoy trick-or-treating through the museum, hands-on crafts, live entertainment, and cultural performances. Kids in costume get in free, while adults in costume enjoy half-off admission. With local food, drinks, and vendor booths, this event promises an afternoon full of learning, laughter, and festive spirit.Halloween Fall Fest

October 29 | 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Head to the Art Center of Corpus Christi for a free Halloween event featuring trick-or-treat stations hosted by Grow Local vendors, a lively farmers market, and plenty of games and activities perfect for the whole family. Kids can join in a musical cake walk and pick from a table of sweet treats and goodies, while parents explore local vendor booths showcasing all the creativity and flavor of the Coastal Bend. Costumes are highly encouraged, so dress to impress and enjoy a safe, spooky, and sweet night out on the bayfront.

 

Enjoy CC Tours

Available every evening 

Hop aboard an air-conditioned van  with Enjoy CC Tours for a premier 2-hour nighttime ghost hunting experience. Prepare to explore a 1929 haunted building and 13 other sites as you hear the stories and the history behind these haunted locations. Catch orbs, apparitions, and other energy fields through photos and learn of the rich haunting history of the Gulf Coast Capital. Tours are available every evening from 6:15 PM - 8:15 PM. 

Rockin K' Farms

September 27 - November 2

This highly anticipated annual fall festival runs late September through November and attracts families from all over the Coastal Bend. Enjoy photo ops, delicious food and drinks, over 20 attractions, an iconic five-foot wide, wheelchair-accessible maze, and more. Get the whole family together and treat everyone to a memorable tradition. The festival is open on Saturdays from 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM and on Sundays from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Dia de los Muertos Festival

November 1 | 3:00 PM - Midnight

Recognized as one of the nation’s top Dia de Los Muertos celebrations, our local festival brings life, music, and culture to the downtown community. Honor and celebrate this annual tradition in the midst of vendors and food trucks lining the streets, sugar skulls galore, costumes at every turn, arts and crafts, ofrendas, and lots of music from 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM. There’s also a Children’s Corner, where kids can let loose and have their fun their own way as they climb, paint, jump, and more.

Water Dog Witches Paddles 

October 18 & 19 | 9:00 AM

Put on your witchiest gear (black outfit, witch hat, and cape) and join yogis at Water Dog Yoga for the annual SUP Witches Paddles event, where witches will learn to use their core, back, and shoulders to paddle more efficiently and effectively. 

Monster Mash Cupcake Dash

October 25 | 7:45 AM

Monsters, lace up your shoes and let’s race. Choose from a 2 mile, 5k, and 10k race that allows your inner beast to run free and enjoy a cupcake at the finish line. There will be a DJ, Kids Zone, recovery tent, and the opportunity to learn how mental health can impact our community. Funds will be used to increase access to mental health services by providing counseling to uninsured families. The race will be held at Water’s Edge Park at 7:45 AM.

Fright Night Haunted House

October 3 - November 1

Are you brave enough for an extreme, ultra-realistic, and detailed haunted house experience? Known as one of the top haunted houses in the country, the 10,000 square foot attraction’s level of detail, set design, and effects combined with their impressive actors and incredible makeup effects can only be compared to a Hollywood movie, and it changes every year, so you never know what to expect. This year, the haunted house is open every Friday and Saturday from 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM and every Sunday from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM between October 3 and November 1, including Halloween. 

Haunting on the Blue Ghost

Take a chance on a terrifying tour that takes brave souls through over 80 compartments on two decks of the USS Lexington, a WWII-era aircraft carrier, including spaces never opened to the public. Prepare to handle steep ladders, dark corridors, creaky hatchways, unimaginable sights, screams, and sounds, and stay after hours for a guided Late-Night Paranormal Investigations tour from 7:30 PM - 10:30 PM.
