Runners from all over the country and world make their way to Corpus Christi to conquer the annual six-leg running event that spans 26.2-miles-long. It has grown into one of the largest relay marathons in the United States, and also offers a full marathon format for those who prefer to take on the challenge solo. Attracting runners from all over the U.S. as well as Kenya, England, and Mexico, Beach to Bay boasts an annual registration rate of over 2,000 teams.
Enjoy stunning coastal views along the way
The race is a unique opportunity to enjoy picture-perfect scenery. Beginning on the sands of North Padre Island, winding through Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, and ending at McCaughan Park along Corpus Christi’s scenic Shoreline Drive, the legs are roughly 4.4 miles each and offer a stunning views of water, palm trees, and birds along the way.

Beach to Bay is always held on the third Saturday in May to coincide with Armed Forces Day. Founded by Captain John Butterfield in 1976, the race honors men and women who’ve served in the United States Military.
