Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtle Release
Nothing demonstrates the beauty of mother nature more than watching dozens of baby sea turtles enter the surf of the Gulf of Mexico. The Padre Island National Seashore is home to approximately 60% of the Kemp’s Ridley nests found in the United States, with most hatchling releases taking place between May and August. The release dates vary as nesting dates are unpredictable, but if you’re visiting Corpus Christi in the summer months, the chances are high that you’ll be able to attend one of nature’s coolest, most unique Corpus Christi experiences.
Get the latest information on releases, locations, and times by calling (361) 949-7163. Loving the turtles and want more?
