Hans & Pat Suter Wildlife Refuge

Bird Island at Padre Island National Seashore

Birds love the miles of sandy shores at Padre Island National Seashore. At Bird Island Basin, you’ll find gallinules and waders, but watch for Peregrine Falcons during the winter.

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve & Learning Center

Corpus Christi’s premier birding event is held each April at the South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center. Hazel Bazemore Hawk Watch

September - October

Every fall, birding enthusiasts flock to Hazel Bazemore Park to witness one of the most spectacular raptor migrations in North America. As part of the Corpus Christi Hawk Watch Project, the park hosts thousands of broad-winged hawks, Swainson’s hawks, kestrels, ospreys, peregrine falcons, and other birds of prey as they soar across the Texas skies.
