Winter Wonderettes 

Say goodbye to 2023 with an energetic and glittering performance by the Winter Wonderettes at Aurora Arts Theatre. Follow the story of the girls entertaining at the annual Harper’s Hardware Holiday Party, and when Santa turns up missing, they use their talent and creative ingenuity to save the holiday party. Dance and sing along to great ’60s versions of holiday classics in this spectacular performance on December 31st at 2:30 p.m.

New Year's Eve at House of Rock 

Get ready to party with the locals at Corpus Christi’s at House of Rock as you say goodbye to 2023. Ring in the new year from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at this neighborhood hangout spot with live performances from local musicians like Quota, DJ Bobby Glory, Kiya Vance & Moonjazz, and Alexismyrissa while enjoying delicious menu options from pizzas, sandwiches, and salads to daily happy hour specials, 7 days a week.

Corpus Christi Polar Bear Plunge & Warmup Fun Run 

Splash into the new year on a healthy note with the Corpus Christi Bear Plunge – a local twist on a global tradition – and get a souvenir, drink, and access to the post-plunge hot tub and snack buffet. Start by warming up with the Corpus Christi Roadrunners’ fun run at 11:15 a.m. and connect with others through the ALS and caregivers support groups. S'mores and Camping 

This New Year’s Eve gathering promises hours of fun and indulgence in the sweetness of the moment with available s’more supplies throughout the night at Lake Corpus Christi State Park. From 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. ring in the new year with various activities from a children’s book read-aloud and lively crafts to fireside s’mores. This program is free with park entry fee. All children must be accompanied by an adult. 

Birding with Bob 

For a daytime outdoor celebration, head to Goose Island State Park and discover avian wonders with a birding excursion led by retired park ranger and bird guide, Bob Showler. The adventure unfolds from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., so bring sun protection, water, and binoculars as you journey various birding hotspots and explore the diverse birdlife of Goose Island State Park. This event is for birding enthusiasts of all levels and ages, and all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Admission is free with park entrance or Texas State Parks Annual Pass. 

Fireworks 

Fireworks New Year's Eve Port Aransas 

Bid farewell to 2023 and row on a wave of light as you paddle under the stars in a clear kayak equipped with multi-colored LED lights with GlowRow. Then, experience a dazzling display of fireworks illuminating the night sky as Port Aransas welcomes the new year, coastal style.
