South Texas is a popular area for hunting enthusiasts, and Corpus Christi offers opportunities for experiencing life as a bowman at various locations around the city. If you and your family are familiar with archery or interested in giving this sport a shot, check out one of these ranges.
Archery Outfitters International is one of the top archery facilities in Corpus Christi! The full-service archery facility and pro shop carry certified bows and accessories, while USA Archery-certified employees can repair bows on-site. Visitors can rent bows and shoot on-site (priced per hour) or attend various classes led by AOI employees. The facility is also home to an archery league and can be reserved for parties. If you’re a serious bowman, you can book domestic or international hunts through AOI!
Individuals from ages 6 to 96 can visit Tejas Bowmen Archery Club and take advantage of their shooting range! This non-profit organization creates opportunities to promote archery as a family sport in the Coastal Bend. The full-service facility houses up to 28 field shooting targets, 3D shooting and a first class practice range for 10-70 yard shots! The club also features a year-round picnic area for the casual archer and their family to enjoy.
Founded by archery professional Clyde Miller in 1982, Clyde’s Archery houses an archery shop and offers classes and private coaching for experienced and inexperienced bowmen. If your child is interested in archery but needs more practice, Clyde’s hosts classes once a week for children ages 9 to 17. Parents can call or visit the site to enroll. The hours are Monday through Thursday. 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed Sunday.
